Learning outcomes:
The qualification holder will be able to:

  • understand, describe, analyse, critically evaluate and help shape the cultural and social context in which they operate,
  • identify contemporary social problems at the level of administrative and management activities,
  • select suitable paths to problem-solving using the instruments of high-quality research methodologies,
  • demonstrate computer literacy,
  • use research methodologies and modern information and communication technologies,
  • use written genres and spoken forms of communication at a high level in two or more languages,
(subject-specific competences)
  • use Italian in the context of all skills at a higher level of communication – levels C1 and C2 of the European Common Framework of Reference,
  • interpret and mediate artistic and non-artistic texts in Italian while demonstrating understanding of the message, distinguishing between varieties and evaluating the linguistic and artistic level of the text,
  • transfer specialist and general-interest information into Italian and from Italian into Slovene while demonstrating knowledge of the function of both linguistic systems, 
  • interpret information and technical and scientific data in Italian for the work process and for addressing technical issues and work problems,
  • communicate using Italian within the discipline and across disciplines,
  • use sources of knowledge in Italian and scholarly methods to develop new solutions in the field of research, education and social policies,
  • demonstrate understanding of language and culture as inseparable elements of the identity of the individual and the identification of a nation, while understanding and respecting the differences between languages and cultures,
  • use intercultural linguistic communication and empathy in the process of the contact of languages and cultures, and participate in research into related social phenomena,
  • develop a critical attitude with respect to phenomena in society and show responsibility, initiative and autonomy in decision-making and the management of the most complex work in the field of social activities and operations. 

Assesment and completion:
Students' knowledge is assessed by means of practical exercises and seminar papers, and also via products, projects, performances, services, etc. and by examinations. Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Progress:

Students may progress to the next year if by the end of the academic year they have completed all requirements defined by the study programme for progression to the next year.
