Learning outcomes:
The qualification holder will be able to:
  • recognise and actively use around 8,000 Chinese characters in both traditional and simplified form,
  • autonomously express themselves orally and in writing at a more complex level and in specialised contexts relating to the selected study stream (cultural studies or social sciences),
  • translate more complex literary, technical and specialist texts from Chinese to Slovene,
  • consecutively interpret from Chinese to Slovene and vice versa,
  • demonstrate proficiency in technical terminology related to the selected study stream.

Assesment and completion:
Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

In order to progress from the first year to the second year, students must have completed 60 credits.
