The qualification holder will be able to:
read the most complex Greek literary, specialist and documentary texts,
autonomously translate literary, specialist and documentary texts from Greek to Slovene,
express themselves confidently, both orally and in writing (Modern Greek language, literature and culture stream)
translate orally into modern Greek and from modern Greek into Slovene (Modern Greek language, literature and culture stream),
demonstrate in-depth understanding of the synchronic and diachronic aspects of the Greek language,
demonstrate understanding of the genres, periods, authors and texts of classical Latin and Greek literature in the broader cultural-historical context,
define problems of interpretation and interpret texts autonomously,
undertake autonomous research in the field of Greek language, literature and culture from the synchronic and diachronic perspectives,
use traditional and modern approaches to textual analysis in a considered manner,
demonstrate in-depth understanding of the anthropological aspects of ancient and later Greek culture,
demonstrate in-depth and critical understanding of the reception of ancient culture in various periods and its presence in the contemporary world,
undertake autonomous academic and professional activity in fields relating to research in Greek language and culture,
autonomously write research papers and survey articles (articles, textual commentaries; general-interest and journalistic texts), communicate and popularise Greek language, literature and culture,

Assesment and completion:
Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

In order to progress from the first to the second year of a second-cycle two-subject study programme, students must have completed all course units prescribed by the curriculum and individual syllabuses for the first year, for a total of 60 credits.

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

In order to complete the programme, students must complete all course units prescribed by the study programme and individual subject syllabuses, for a total of 60 credits. Since this is a two-subject study programme, in order to complete the overall programme students must also complete all course units in the other discipline, amounting to 60 credits, for a total of 120 credits.
