Anyone who has completed the following can enroll in the second-cycle master's study programme Preschool Education:

  • a first-cycle study programme in the amount of 180 credit points (hereinafter: ECTS), or a professional higher study programme adopted before 11 June 2004 in the relevant professional field of pre-school education, without additional obligations (KLASIUS-P Education of preschool teachers).
  • a first-cycle study programme in the amount of 240 credit points from the relevant professional field of preschool education, without additional obligations (KLASIUS-P Education of preschool teachers).
  • a first-cycle study programme in the amount of at least 180 ECTS, or an university / professional higher study programme adopted before 11 June 2004, from other professional fields, if before enrollment in the program the candidate completes study obligations essential for continuing studies in the amount of between 10 and 60 ECTS (the candidate must demonstrate experience in the field of education in the amount of 15 ECTS before enrolling in the study programme. Candidates will demonstrate their experience with employers' certificates of work experience or proof of completion of the study programme, which included at least 15 ECTS). practical pedagogical training in education.). The Senate of the PeF UL decides on the obligations on the proposal of the commission responsible for the postgraduate study of the second level of the PeF UL, depending on the diversity of the professional field. The candidate may complete these study obligations during the study at the first level, in further training programmes or by taking exams before enrolling in the master's study programme.
  • The conditions for enrollment are also met by candidates who have completed equivalent education abroad and enroll under the same conditions as apply to candidates who have completed their education in Slovenia. Prior to enrolling in the programme, they must complete the process of recognizing education for the purpose of continuing their studies.

  • ability to connect curricular areas,
  • in-depth understanding of theories of development, management and evaluation of work in a public institution - kindergarten,
  • ability to manage and organize a public institution - kindergarten.

Assesment and completion:

Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Progress:

The condition for progression to the second year is the completion of 45 ECTS from the obligations of the first year.

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

To complete the studies, students must collect all the planned credit points from all relevant parts of the programme. Credit points obtained at other higher education institutions at home and abroad (mobility) can also be taken into account. achieved on the basis of recognized knowledge and skills, if they have been achieved in accordance with the law, the statute of UL and the rules of PeF and confirmed by the bodies of the faculty.

Notwithstanding the provisions of the previous paragraph, a candidate who enrolls in a second-cycle PV programme must achieve at least 60 ECTS in the PeF UL study programme.
