The qualification holder will be able to:
General competences:
- knowledge and application of appropriate methods of research and development of own practice,
- ability to take responsibility for one's own professional development and learning through evaluation and reflection of one's own work (experiential learning, intervision, supervision),
- managerial and organizational skills,
- establishing partnerships with users and other groups,
- ability to research and transfer knowledge into practice,
- developing new knowledge and understanding of the field,
- acting in accordance with ethical norms and the professional code,
- ability to participate in an interdisciplinary team and communicate with all involved subjects in the educational process (children, adolescents, parents and professionals),
- reflection and evaluation of the existing educational practice and identification of untapped opportunities for raising its quality,
- developing higher cognitive skills related to the creation of new knowledge.
Subject-specific competences:
- ability to collaboratively solve problems of education in different contexts,
- ability to adapt practice to specific educational contexts,
- development of knowledge and understanding in the field of preschool education,
- the ability to reflect and articulate values and attitudes that correspond to a particular practice,
- the ability to use pre-school research to design different practices,
- ability to direct practice in the direction of intercultural and interethnic dialogue,
- ability to connect curricular areas,
- in-depth understanding of theories of development, management and evaluation of work in a public institution - kindergarten,
- ability to manage and organize a public institution - kindergarten.
Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).
The condition for progression to the second year is the completion of 45 ECTS from the obligations of the first year.
Third-cycle doctoral study programmes (SQF level 10)
To complete the studies, students must collect all the planned credit points from all relevant parts of the programme. Credit points obtained at other higher education institutions at home and abroad (mobility) can also be taken into account. achieved on the basis of recognized knowledge and skills, if they have been achieved in accordance with the law, the statute of UL and the rules of PeF and confirmed by the bodies of the faculty.
Notwithstanding the provisions of the previous paragraph, a candidate who enrolls in a second-cycle PV programme must achieve at least 60 ECTS in the PeF UL study programme.
