  • A completed first-cycle academic study programme in law (Bologna programme) consisting of at least 240 ECTS credits;
  • a completed first-cycle academic study programme in law (Bologna programme) consisting of at least 180 ECTS credits, on condition that before enrolment candidates pass foundation year examinations worth an additional 60 ECTS credits from the first-cycle academic programme in law, in this way completing a total of at least: 60 ECTS credits in the field of civil and economic law; 22 ECTS credits in the field of criminal law, 12 ECTS credits in the field of labour law and social security law, 30 ECTS credits in the field of administrative law, 10 ECTS credits in the field of international public law, 13 ECTS credits in the field of constitutional law, 16 ECTS credits in the field of history of law and Roman law, 16 ECTS credits in the field of theory and sociology of law, 20 ECTS credits in the field of legal economics subject; or
  • a completed professional higher education programme in a related field (e.g. economics, social sciences, sociology, administration), provided that before enrolment they pass foundation year examinations worth an additional 60 ECTS credits in the following subjects: Introduction to Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedural Law, Civil Law, Economic Law, Civil Procedural Law, International Public Law, Administrative Law, Administrative Procedural Law and Labour Law.

Learning outcomes:

The qualification holder will be able to:

  • demonstrate specialised legal knowledge in the field of a selected module that supports the professional orientation of the student,
  • broaden their general legal horizons in the field of elective subjects that ensure a broad general perspective, which is extremely important in ensuring good-quality decision-making,
  • promote a value system that is the basis for decision-making in concrete cases,
  • transfer theoretical knowledge into practice, showing the ability to resolve complex cases that require the integration of various fields of law and prepare complex legal acts,
  • use various methods of interpretation to interpret legal texts,
  • use deductive legal reasoning and argument,
  • communicate effectively orally and in writing on legal subjects,
  • carry out basic research and locate legal resources,
  • encourage socially responsible thinking and demonstrate a critical attitude towards developments in society,
  • encourage the highest standards of ethics within the legal profession,
  • demonstrate initiative and autonomy in decision-making.

Assesment and completion:

Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

In order to complete the programme, students must pass all examinations in compulsory and elective subjects, for a total of 48 ECTS credits, and complete a bachelor's thesis for a further 12 ECTS credits. This means that on completion of the programme students will have completed a total of 60 ECTS credits.
