  • A previously prepared graphic design concept for at least two websites submitted on a suitable data storage device (CD, DVD, USB flash drive) with accompanying documentation (starting points, content structure plan, user interface architecture – wire-frame models, description of result and individual elements and justification of solutions implemented).

Learning outcomes:
Candidates will be able to:
  • plan, prepare, implement and check own web design work, 
  • use time and other resources rationally to design websites, 
  • ensure the quality and efficiency of own work in the working environment in accordance with regulations and standards, 
  • protect health and the environment, 
  • develop enterprise characteristics, skills and behaviour, 
  • use information and communication technologies, 
  • protects the identity of users and their data, 
  • uses computer tools effectively, and monitors new software tools and the development thereof, 
  • takes a systematic approach to the search for solutions to problems that arise,
  • participate in and lead a web design team, 
  • work with clients in defining and performing tasks relating to web design, 
  • design websites, 
  • refresh and update the graphic elements of websites.

Evaluator:

Verification and assessment are carried out by committees for the verification and validation of national vocational qualifications, appointed by the National Examination Centre (NEC). Committee members must be licensed by the National Examination Centre. Licences may be found here.

Assesment and completion:
VALIDATION
During the counselling process, the candidate prepares a portfolio. The relevant committee assesses the portfolio and validates catalogue content in part or full. If the committee is unable to recognise all catalogue content, it assigns tasks to the candidate for verification. 
VERIFICATION METHOD
  • In the practical assignment candidates demonstrate proficiency in the use of tools for the graphic processing of website materials and/or web design tools and proficiency in work with existing websites (assessment, improvement of graphics and/or inclusion of elements).
  • The oral presentation consists of a presentation and explanation of the submitted websites and practical assignment and open thematic questions that give candidates the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of technical content.

A candidate may be exempted from the practical exercise at the committee's discretion.

Awarding body:

Providers of procedures for identifying and validating national vocational qualifications are entered in a register of providers maintained in the relevant database of the National Reference Point for Occupational Qualifications. Providers include: vocational schools, companies, inter-company training centres, adult education centres, chambers of commerce, etc.
