Learning outcomes:

The qualification holders are familiar with the leading ideas, concepts and practices that are still shaping contemporary Europe and environments closely connected to Europe. They will be able to recognise the interdependence of bilateral and multilateral processes of cultural exchange and compare, using a current dialectic approach, the relationship between apparently static tradition and the constantly changing living world, between the quality and difference, between local characteristics and global trends.

Assesment and completion:
Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Students may enrol in the second year of the master's programme when they have completed first-year course units totalling at least 45 credits (3 examinations).
