Learning outcomes:

The candidate is able to:

• obtain and use working and technical documentation and plan their own work in accordance with the instructions of their superior and taking into account sustainable principles,
• operate road vehicles equipped with a load-lifting device, which are intended primarily for the transport of cargo,
• operate, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, light mobile truck cranes (HIAB) with a load capacity of up to 50 tons, which are equipped with either an extendable beam (arm) with a reach of up to 40 m or with a telescopic lifting device, which are intended primarily for loading and unloading vehicles, transporting cargo and loading and unloading cargo,
• perform preventive maintenance of machinery, work equipment and equipment in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and other regulations,
• use protective and security equipment and perform their work safely in a way that does not endanger themselves or others in their working environment and comply with the standards and regulations governing occupational safety and safe work with work machines,
• control the quality of the work performed in accordance with the standards and other regulations and to observe the principles of rational use of energy, time and materials,
• use modern communication technology, computer equipment and appropriate software tools that he needs in his work
• communicate with management and colleagues and with other stakeholders he encounters in his work and observe the rules in business relations and relations with customers
• protect the environment from the negative effects of materials and work resources.

Evaluator:

Verification and assessment are carried out by committees for the verification and validation of national vocational qualifications, appointed by the National Examination Centre (NEC). Committee members must be licensed by the National Examination Centre. Licences may be found here.

Assesment and completion:

1.VALIDATION

During the guidance process the candidate prepares a portfolio,  which is assessed by a committee. If the portfolio submitted by the candidate contains  authentic, valid and adequate proof of the knowledge,  skills and competences defined in the occupational standard, the committee may:

  • validate the contents of the occupational standard in full,  
  • validate the contents of the occupational standard in part and define the  knowledge, skills and competence to be verified,  
  • refuse to validate any of the contents of the occupational standard because  the candidate has not provided proof of any of the knowledge, skills and competences  defined in the occupational standard, in which case it will verify  the occupational standard in full.  

 

2.METHOD OF VERIFICATION

If the candidate proves at least 100 hours of work experience operating light mobile cranes (vehicles up to 3.5 tons and up to 7.5 tons, e.g. HIAB truck cranes) in the last 5 years, which the candidate proves with authentic documents (e.g. written confirmation of hours of work performed on the machine for an individual project, confirmed by the supervisor at the work site, and/or training certificates, which also describe and specify hours of practical training on the machine, etc.), an oral defense will be held.

B) Practical examination with defense.

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

The candidate demonstrates that he/she achieves the knowledge, skills and competencies specified in the catalogue of professional knowledge and skills standards.

Awarding body:

Providers of procedures for identifying and validating NVQs are entered in a register of providers maintained in the collection of the national information centre for vocational qualifications. These are: vocational schools, businesses, B2B training centres, adult education centres and chambers of commerce.
