The conditions for enrollment are also met by candidates who have completed equivalent education abroad and enroll under the same conditions as apply to candidates who have completed their education in Slovenia. Before enrolling in postgraduate studies, candidates must complete the process of recognition of education for the purpose of continuing postgraduate studies. |

General competences:
The second-cycle graduate is qualified to solve the most demanding political science problems and to continue the third-cycle study of political theory. He also acquires the ability to work in a group, upgrades his knowledge of foreign languages, and establishes contacts outside and inside Slovenia. The study encourages his creativity, initiative and creativity, and strengthens his leadership skills.
Subject-specific competences:
The graduate gets an in-depth insight into political theories and doctrines, relevant methodological knowledge in the field of qualitative and quantitative methodologies, for research of political science phenomena and acquires theoretical knowledge for their analysis. Subject-specific competences are related to the composition of the curriculum and are defined in the curriculum of individual subjects.
Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).
The study lasts one year, so there is no progression to a higher year.
Third-cycle doctoral study programmes (SQF level 10)
Students complete their studies after completing all the obligations in the enrolled subjects and successfully defending the master's thesis in public.
