Learning outcomes:

The holder of the certificate is qualified to:

  • read plans and transfer dimensions and heights from the plan to the facility
  • measure and calculate the quantities of material required for drywall elements;
  • choose materials for drywall construction elements with regard to their technological characteristics;
  • install profiles and constructions for drywall construction elements and install insulation materials;
  • cut and fix drywall panels and install frames, hatches, etc. 
  • implement the joining, lagging and final processing of drywall construction elements;
  • rationally use material, energy and time;
  • comply with health, safety at work and environmental protection principles;
  • implement maintenance and rehabilitation work on drywall construction elements. 

Optional: 

  • correctly install hydro-insulation, thermal and sound insulation and use appropriate materials.
  • apply interior and exterior plasters by hand or with a machine.
  • process, install and protect elements and make simple wooden constructions with conventional woodworking joints.
  • assemble and disassemble various types of prefabricated scaffolding and maintain component parts of prefabricated scaffolding.
  • implement basic painting techniques on walls and ceilings and paint wooden and metallic products. 

In addition, the holder of the certificate also upgraded his/her key professional skills and competences with key general knowledge and skills in line with national standards. 

Assesment and completion:

Students' vocational abilities and skills, and the fulfilment of conditions to obtain credits in accordance with the relevant education programme are established through verification and assessment. Assessment of students also takes into account non-formally acquired knowledge, which must be adequately demonstrated. Students are assessed using scores from 5 (excellent) to 1 (inadequate).

Progress:

A student/apprentice who, at the end of the school year, is positively evaluated in all general education subjects and professional modules of the year of the school's implementation curriculum, and who has completed all the obligations of other forms of educational work (active citizenship and extracurricular activities) and practical training through work placement at the employer.

Progression:

Secondary technical, vocational or vocational-technical education; master craftsman/foreman/shop manager examination (SQF level 5).

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

In order to complete the education and obtain the qualification, the student/apprentice must successfully pass with positive grades:

  • general education subjects,
  • mandatory professional modules,
  • one of the optional professional modules,
  • open part of the open curriculum.

In addition, he/she must complete:

  • other forms of extracurricular activities (active citizenship and interest activities),
  • obligations in practical training  through work placement,
  • intermediate test (applies to apprentice form of education and students with an individual learning contract in the school form of education),
  • final exam.

The final exam includes:

  • written and oral examination of Slovenian language,
  • presenting and defending a service

Awarding body:

Vocational and technical secondary schools and adult education institutions.
