  • a master of science degree or a completed specialisation after an Academic Bachelor Degree qualification (60 credits recognised on enrolment); or
  • a completed Academic Bachelor Degree programme; or
  • a completed Professional Bachelor Degree programme and completed specialisation (on enrolment course units in the amount of 30–60 credits are determined by the doctoral studies committee).
In order to enrol in a third-cycle study programme after completing a study programme in an unrelated field, candidates must pass differential examinations in the amount of 60 credits as determined by the doctoral studies committee.

Assesment and completion:
Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

 

Progress:

In order to progress from the first to the second year, students must gain at least 30 credits from core subjects and publicly present their draft doctoral dissertation, which must be assessed with a passing grade. In order to progress from the second to the third year, students must gain at least 60 credits from core/elective subjects and the topic of their doctoral dissertation must be approved by the faculty.

Conditions for obtaining a public document:
In order to complete their studies, students must successfully complete all programme requirements consisting of 180 credits.
