- resolve specific problems in the agro-food sector and in the countryside,
- place new information and interpretations in the context of the fundamental discipline (profession),
- understand the general structure of the fundamental discipline Management in the agro-food sector and its links to sub-disciplines (Theory of decision-making, Marketing management) and related disciplines (Management in agriculture, Information technology, Rural development),
- understand and apply critical analysis methods and development theories, and apply them in solving specific work problems,
- develop skills in the application of knowledge in a specific technical field.
Progress from the first to the second year requires the completion of study obligations and practical classes, as well as examinations in the amount of 45 out of a total of 60 credits (75%). In order to advance to the second year, students must pass the following examinations: Mathematics and statistics, Management in agriculture I, Biophysics, Botany, Chemistry. To advance from the second to the third year, students must complete all the first-year obligations (60 credits) and complete at least 45 credits from the second year, including the obligatory passing of the following examinations: Management in agriculture 2, Marketing in agriculture and all three examinations in the agriculture module.

Students complete their studies when they have passed all the required examinations or have completed at least 180 credits, and have successfully defended their diploma thesis.
