The following candidates can be enrolled in the first year of the master's programme in Civil and Commercial Law of the second level:

  • who has completed a first-cycle study programme in a relevant professional field (Law (38)),
  • who has completed a first-cycle study programme in other professional fields (Social and Behavioural Sciences (31) and Business and Administration (34)) and achieved at least 180 ECTS credits and completed additional study obligations in the amount of 16 ECTS credits. Candidates can complete additional study obligations during their studies at the first-cycle or by taking exams before enrolling in a master's degree, namely in the subjects Law (8 ECTS) and Obligations Law - General Part (8 ECTS);
  • who has completed a first-cycle study programme in other professional fields (all other ISCED fields) and achieved at least 180 ECTS credits and completed additional study obligations in the amount of 24 ECTS credits. Candidates can complete additional study obligations during their studies at the first-cycle or by taking exams before enrolling in a master's degree, namely in the subjects Law (8 ECTS), Obligations Law - General Part (8 ECTS) and Financial Law (8ECTS)
  • who has completed study programme for the acquisition of  professional higher education in other professional fields (Social and Behavioural Sciences (31) and Business and Administration (34)), adopted from 1 January 1994 to 11 June 2004, and completed additional study obligations in the amount of 16 ECTS credits. Candidates can complete additional study obligations during their studies at the first-cycle or by taking exams before enrolling in a master's degree, namely in the subjects Law (8 ECTS) and Obligations Law - General Part (8 ECTS);
  • who has completed a study programme for the acquisition of professional higher education in other professional fields (all other ISCED fields) accepted from 1.1.1994 to 11.6.2004 and completed additional study obligations in the amount of 24 ECTS credits. Candidates can complete additional study obligations during their studies at the first-cycle or by taking exams before enrolling in a master's degree, namely in the subjects Law (8 ECTS), Obligations Law - General Part (8 ECTS) and Financial Law (8ECTS). 
  • who has completed a study programme for obtaining a university degree, adopted before 11 June 2004, in other professional fields (Social and Behavioural Sciences (31) and Business and Administration (34)) and completed additional study obligations in the amount of 16 ECTS credits. Candidates can complete additional study obligations during their studies at the first-cycle or by taking exams before enrolling in a master's degree, namely in the subjects Law (8 ECTS) and Obligations Law - General Part (8 ECTS);
  • who has completed a study programme for obtaining a university degree, adopted before 11 June 2004, in other professional fields (all other ISCED fields) and has completed additional study obligations in the amount of 24 ECTS credits. Candidates can complete additional study obligations during their studies at the first-cycle or by taking exams before enrolling in a master's degree, namely in the subjects Law (8 ECTS), Obligations Law - General Part (8 ECTS) and Financial Law (8ECTS). also who has completed equivalent education abroad.

The qualification holder will be able to:

  • mastering research methods, procedures and processes in the field of social sciences and developing critical and self-critical judgment in the field of social sciences,

Assesment and completion:

Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Progress:

A student who has completed all the obligations determined by the study programme for progression to a higher year by the end of the academic year or has achieved at least 40 credit points  in the successfully passed examinations in the subjects of the year in which he is enrolled and passed all assigned differential examinations, may progress from the lower to the higher year.

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

To obtain the professional title of Master of Law or Master of Civil and Commercial Law, the candidate must complete the following study obligations:

  • Complete the study obligations of seventeen subjects (or the equivalent of 90 ECTS).
  • Perform scientific research work (or equivalent to 10 ECTS)
  • Prepare and successfully defend a master's thesis in accordance with the provisions of the rules of the faculty.
