The qualification holder will be able to:

- think logically and abstractly and analyse, synthesise and evaluate,
- identify and address problems and formulate decisions,

- demonstrate understanding of economic theories and develop the ability to synthesise and apply them,
- demonstrate understanding of models of macro and micro analysis as a basis for in-depth economic analysis,
- demonstrate understanding of models of macro and micro analysis as a basis for key strategic decisions at the level of the national economy, the industry and the organisation,
- demonstrate understanding of econometric, statistical and mathematical methods and economic analyses and select and apply them,
- analyse the problems of the national economy, industry and organisations using advanced econometric and statistical methods,
- analyse and interpret the problems of the national economy, industry and organisations using mathematical methods,
- analyse monetary policy, develop alternative solutions, carry out critical evaluation and propose solutions,
- analyse financial and tax problems and make good financial decisions,
- analyse and understand EU tax policy and processes of tax harmonisation within the EU,
- analyse and understand the global financial system and contemporary international financial issues.
Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).
Students may progress to the next year if by the end of the academic year they have completed all course units prescribed by the study programme for progression to the next year.
