  • A completed first-cycle two-subject academic higher education programme in the same disciplines (Polish studies, Czech studies, etc.) (180 credits); or
  • a completed first-cycle two-subject academic higher education programme in the same disciplines (240 credits); in this case up to 60 credits may be recognised, depending on the first-cycle course units completed; or
  • any other completed first-cycle academic higher education programme in another relevant field (linguistics, social sciences and humanities), if prior to enrolment the candidate has completed course units essential for second-cycle studies; these are determined with reference to how different the field is, and consist of 10 to 60 credits; or
  • any other first-cycle academic higher education programme in another field, if prior to enrolment the candidate has completed course units essential for second-cycle studies; these are determined with reference to how different the field is, and consist of up to 60 credits; or

The qualification holder will be able to:
  • perform logical and abstract analyses, syntheses and evaluations,
  • express in depth their knowledge of both specialist fields in written and oral form and evaluate them critically,

Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

In order to progress to the next year of a two-subject study programme, students must have completed course units totalling 90% of the credits prescribed by the curriculum for the individual year (i.e. 54 out of 60 credits).

Third-cycle doctoral study programmes (SQF level 10)

In order to complete the programme, students must complete all course units prescribed by the study programme.
