Admission requirements
  • A completed first-cycle study programme in a relevant professional field: social sciences, education and teacher training, humanities, social, business, administrative and legal studies, natural science, mathematics and computer science, technology, production technology and construction, health and social care, services; or
  • completed first-cycle programme in another field not covered by the previous indent, if prior to enrolment the candidate has completed course units essential for further studies totalling 13 credits; or
  • completed study programme leading to a Professional Bachelor Degree qualification adopted before 11 June 2004 in a relevant professional field: social sciences, education and teacher training, humanities, social, business, administrative and legal studies, natural science, mathematics and computer science, technology, production technology and construction, health and social care, services; or
  • completed study programme leading to a Professional Bachelor Degree qualification adopted before 11 June 2004 in another field not covered by the previous indent, if prior to enrolment the candidate has completed course units essential for further studies totalling 13 credits.

The qualification holder will be able to:

  • lead, guide, propose and coordinate cooperation between co-workers from professional fields that are clients and internal or external developers of IT systems,
  • demonstrate a critical attitude to problems and recognise the requirements of the environment, time and long-term effects,
  • plan and develop strategic IT systems (director’s IT system, decision-making support systems etc.),
  • solve highly complex problems in a broad field of work,
  • master the management skills necessary for effective management of an organisation.

Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

 

Students may progress to the next year if by the end of the academic year they have completed all requirements defined by the study programme for progression to the next year.

Third-cycle doctoral study programmes (SQF level 10)

Students must meet all requirements defined by the study programme to complete their studies.
