The qualification holder will be able to:
General competences:
- ability to critically and analytically judge, creatively think and make decisions in the business and sustainable field
- ability to use modern knowledge for sustainable decision-making and problem solving and leadership in international organizations and various other institutions cooperating with foreign countries
- ability to understand ethical, moral and legal aspects in international business, awareness and acceptance of responsibility in global sustainable development
- gaining knowledge of methodological approaches for quantitative and qualitative decision making
- ability to analyze and synthesize, predict solutions and consequences
- ability to use knowledge and skills to make sustainable decisions in international business and marketing
- ability of teamwork and research in international business and sustainable development
- ability to communicate in writing and orally in business environments with different cultures
- understanding the importance of lifelong learning and the skill of acquiring new knowledge independently.
Subject-specific competences:
- ability to understand different organizations in the international business field, both from a business and a sustainable perspective
- ability to understand organizations and the impact of organizational aspects on company performance
- understanding concepts from environmental economics and politics
- understanding of basic ethical and legal concepts and their application in the field of international business
- ability to apply the main principles of international business in business strategy in formulating plans in the context of sustainable development
- use of knowledge to effectively manage international marketing projects with a view to sustainable development
- ability to formulate proposals, critique, evaluation of ethical perception in the international business field
- ethical commitment - the ability to be aware of and accept responsibility in global, sustainable development
- ability to ethically manage companies and take into account human resources and to understand the differences in the way of doing business with foreign partners from different cultural backgrounds
- use of oral and written communication in a foreign language in international business.
Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).
A student progresse to the second year if the candidate collects 45 ECTS for first year subjects. The IBS Senate may, on a proposal from the Study Affairs Commission, exceptionally allow admission to a student who does not meet this condition and has justifiable reasons for doing so (in accordance with the Statute).
Third-cycle doctoral study programmes (SQF level 10)
To complete the studies, students must complete study obligations in all subjects and prepare and successfully defend the master's thesis (in accordance with the Rules on the master's thesis adopted by the IBS Senate).
